With this free and easy to use app WinBit Software-developed application, you will be able to quickly resize all the images you want. Just load some images into FreeSizer by dragging and dropping them onto the application, select a resizing profile, and hit the Start Resizing button. Moments later your images will be resized based on the settings you specify.

The FreeSizer installation file is less than 1MB in size, which means that even on a less than spectacular internet connection it will take little time for the download to complete. You can install the application on a PC powered by XP, Vista, or Windows 7. Through the installation process you will be guided by a very simple setup wizard. When it completes, your default browser will launch and you will be taken to a “Thank you for installing FreeSizer” webpage.

There are three tabs in the upper left hand corner of FreeSizer’s interface: Profile, Settings, and About. From the Profile tab you can view the images selected for resizing, pick one of several resizing profiles, and preview an image based on the profile you select. From the Settings tab you can choose what suffix to attach to the resized images, you can specify where to save the resized images, and play with a few other Options. The About tab presents a few resizing statistics: total images processes, total original filesize, total reduced filesize, and total savings.

Using FreeSizer is a simple three-step process.
Step 1: drag and drop the images you want to resize onto the application’s interface.
Step 2: select a resizing profile. You can choose between the following: email, instant messenger, social networks, iPhone/iPod, original size compressed, and custom. To get a better idea of what an image will look if you choose a certain profile, you can preview the image by clicking the appropriately named “Preview with selected profile” button.
Step 3: launch the resizing process. By default, FreeSizer saves the resized images in the same folder as the original ones. From the Settings tab you can specify another target directory; and you can also specify what suffix to append to the resized images.

As mentioned above, FreeSizer is freeware.

You can batch resize images with FreeSizer for Windows. Select the images, pick a profile, and let FreeSizer do its job.

Pros

Getting FreeSizer up and running will take little time. There are several resizing profiles to choose from. You can add a suffix to the resized images. FreeSizer is freeware.

Cons

None that I could think of.
